Hey everybody,

after reading many inspiring build logs I finally decided to create my own pennyboardsized eboard. But before I can start building, I need a good plan! Unfortunately I couldn't find any detailed threads about boards with such small dimensions, so if you know any pls post a link.

Most of the time I will use the board in cities, so a high speed is not important for me. What's more important is a minimal range of 15km (20+ would be awesome) and a low total cost. By the way I wont use an original pennyboard deck, because I have build some my own in the past.

The smaller one is the one I will be using (Dimensions: LxW 47x19cm , WB 30,5cm) alongside 180mm Paris Trucks, Zombie Hawgs 76mm 78A Wheels and risers as thin as possible. The question I am asking myself is, which battery / motor combination I should use.

Option 1 would be the Turnigy SK3-4250 (350kV) and a DIY 4S4P batterypack. Here I'm concerned about insufficient torque and performanceproblems with terrain that isn't flat.

Option 2 is the Turnigy SK3-5065 (236kV) and a DIY 6S3P batterypack. I think this combination is better when it comes to performance, but the range might suffer from that.

(planned ESC for both Options: Hobbyking X-Car Beast 120A http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...82_X_Car_Beast_Series_ESC_1_8_Scale_120A.html)

What do you guys think? It would be great, if you could give me your opinion on this! :)

I use 4 cell 8000mah lipo batt with 5060 motor on my mini skate
it's a great combination. gets to about 20kmh speed and 15 km range easy.
IMO there is no need for 6s

20 kmh and 15km really sound great! But what about smaller hills? Does your motor overheat / keep up the speed when driving up grades?
