Hey everybody,
after reading many inspiring build logs I finally decided to create my own pennyboardsized eboard. But before I can start building, I need a good plan! Unfortunately I couldn't find any detailed threads about boards with such small dimensions, so if you know any pls post a link.
Most of the time I will use the board in cities, so a high speed is not important for me. What's more important is a minimal range of 15km (20+ would be awesome) and a low total cost. By the way I wont use an original pennyboard deck, because I have build some my own in the past.
The smaller one is the one I will be using (Dimensions: LxW 47x19cm , WB 30,5cm) alongside 180mm Paris Trucks, Zombie Hawgs 76mm 78A Wheels and risers as thin as possible. The question I am asking myself is, which battery / motor combination I should use.
Option 1 would be the Turnigy SK3-4250 (350kV) and a DIY 4S4P batterypack. Here I'm concerned about insufficient torque and performanceproblems with terrain that isn't flat.
Option 2 is the Turnigy SK3-5065 (236kV) and a DIY 6S3P batterypack. I think this combination is better when it comes to performance, but the range might suffer from that.
(planned ESC for both Options: Hobbyking X-Car Beast 120A http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...82_X_Car_Beast_Series_ESC_1_8_Scale_120A.html)
What do you guys think? It would be great, if you could give me your opinion on this!
