Hello fellow grinners,
I found this forum while searching for information on how to convert my reel mower to a cordless electric. While browsing I became infected.

Here is my pertinent background: I have put thousands of miles on bicycles and at least 100K on motorcycles. I have been tuned into electric vehicles since the 70's when my father had a dealership selling these Zagato elcars:

He also had a few dual motor friction drive electric bicycle kits which I kept all these years. I was the test driver for the kits when he first got them. :D I've been collecting information and parts to use one of these kits, and today after buying a used ebike off eBay, I was inspired to get a kit into testing mode.

Here is the result:

I'll make a post about the build elsewhere. Thank you all for the information that led to the ridiculous grin I'm now sporting.

I love those stretch cruiser bikes. I plan to build one in the near future after I finish experimenting with converting my mountain bike. CHeck out this youtube video of a similar stretch cruiser in action. I like the forward pedaling position; it gives you some of the comfort advantage of a recumbent bike without making you look like a nerd dork.

Nerd Dork is good. Bill Gates recently addressed some HS kids and his last commandment was
"Be nice to the nerds...you will wind up working for one someday."
I teach K-8 I.T. at a private school in Dallas. I got new glasses which look like something out of
1954 America and I always wear a pocket protector. And now that I e-bike to work, I am a serious
nerd. And they think I am hot shit, even at 57, BECAUSE I am so nerdy. nerdy is the new sexy with kids today

Get some red ones for the Buddy Holly look Dallas.
