looks sharp, I am considering one. 2yr warranty has me very interested. I can't find anything with LifePo4, dual disk brakes, warranty like that, folding, and 46 lbs. all for about $1k with free shipping.

one example supplier I have found so far: http://www.bikemania.biz/Prodeco_G_Plus_Mariner_Storm_Electric_Bike_p/prodecotech_gplusmar_sto.htm

also... the 500 watt motor upgrade at no extra charge? and suspension seat post no extra charge? I will be calling them tomorrow (if they have weekend hours).

and the made in the USA also gets me... I have to admit.

highly considering a G-Storm

no i don't work for them, or get money from them. just looking for any help in finding out if this is legit.

but honestly, i hope its all real. i would love to see a new company step forward, and make a great product that brings ebikes to the masses... and stand behind it.

i need the bike to go just to go a few miles, and get to work without a big sweat.

anyone heard of them? or know anything about all this?

Interesting, i've never heard of these guys.

I lived in SLO county for many, many years and i have a 250w motor kit. Where will you be commuting to/from?

Not bad for those short rides. I particularly like the way they built the controller into the battery rack.

Hope they don't get eaten alive by that warranty. The price is right, but I'm not buying it that nothing was sourced from china. But designed and assembled in USA is still good.

Ah, Im in transition right now. I used to work for a film company up in Santa Maria, but they had to close up shop. So now Im working in El Segundo, CA. I go back to Santa Maria on weekends, so I still live there and work all the way down here (renting out small apt in El Segundo until i find out exactly where I want to stay here in LA)

I will only need the bike for a short commute, maybe a mile, or just slightly more...1.2 miles maybe! lol
There are a couple hills that could get me sweating a bit, and I have to be business casual, so I wanted a motor to level things out for my ride.

How much are these bikes selling for? I am also looking into getting an electric bike. So far I have liked the Pedego Electric Bike because the battery is in the back and can come on and off to charge and I like the look.

all of the Prodeco bikes seem to be around $1k.

I have been fighting between a couple of the Prodeco models. This one just seems too good to be true:

(Back Ordered Until 1/10/11)

but I am considering it due to some hills I will face on my ride to work.

just a personal note, I never cared much for cruiser style bikes. so even though the pedego bikes appear to be nice bikes, they dont light my fire.

That does seem a good deal... Kinda sorry they only ship continental USA :(

Somebuddy here might recognize their motor:

They must have pretty good capitalization and are going for market share on what will eventually be a much larger market. The top of the line 36 volt bike is hardly more than kits alone with comparable batteries and you're getting a pretty decent well set up bike besides. I'd buy one with two battery packs in a heartbeat if I had the disposable income and devise a rolling suitcase to put it in. Hop a bus, subway, train or plane and have instant transport where ever you end up. You don't even have to park, but take it in with you into most any interior.

This is a very good thing for our fraternity and I'm surprised there wasn't more comment about it.

i'll recconmend them as a pre built to people that don't wan't a kit
if the need a tester i'll beat it for them
