Hi all.

Got problem with proper metering of my LiFePO4 battery by CA3. My Cycle Analyst got the fresh firmware and I am using that battery:

http://www.bmsbattery.com/packs/531-48v-10ah-38120-lifepo4-battery-16-cells-ebike-battery-pack.html

with that BMS set to 50A-100A

Usually after 10-15 km of ride my CA claims, that the battery is empty, but I can ride next 60 km. People from Grin said, I can try to change settings in CA from 15Ah to 14Ah but it did not help :/
Any of You know this problem and can help? What I need to change, so CA can start measuring battery state properly?

The V3 uses a different algorithm for LiFePO4 because of the discharge curve. Mine indicates EMPTY at 80% discharge (16Ah of a 20S2P pack of Headway 38120s).

  1. Please post all your exact battery settings by name.
  2. What are the 'not-moving' Ah, V, and Rbatt readings when the V3 indicates empty?
  3. How are you determining that your battery is empty and must stop riding?
  4. What are the 'not-moving' Ah, V, and Rbatt readings at that point?

Yep - my CA3 is set for LiFe so it should activate proper algorithms.

Wouldn't it be better to upload configuration file from my CA3? Since, there is software for that it would be most simple way You can see my settings - right?

In this very moment my hub wheel need fixing (broken spokes and waiting for wider rim) so when I ride in 2 weeks (hope so) I can see and give that info.

It simply shoot off power and engine stops :) After 3 weeks of riding I can tell by KM meter, how much more KM I can ride - after 3 weeks I can predict pretty precisely.

Whatever.
There are only "Chemistry, String#, Capacity, VltCutOff, LoVGain" - not too taxing to type.

C'mon - you gotta help here - WHAT causes the shut off? (The CA or the BMS?)
If the CA, what's your VltCutOff?

OK - in like 2/3 weeks after replacing rims to wider and wider spokes I will test it again and put info here. I broke wheel after starting this thread so we need to do a pause for the moment - sorry
