Yes, I think they will handle 105v.
What kind of controller? You might need to change the main capacitors and possibly do something with the voltage regulator.
 
I am curious about the 408, what combination of voltage amperage killed it? Was it a high load? I am considering a 72v 408 or 406 commuter most likely 20amp will it blow? What does it take to blow it? :shock: Thanks!
 
Like most brushless. gearless motors.. the only way to kill them is to severly overheat them.

Once the insulation melts off the wires.. = short.. bzzzt.. smoke.. but it takes ALOT to kill one !

All Clyte motors from 404 to 4013 can take whatever voltage you want to throw at it.. but like all other things.. pick the right motor for your desired speed and wheel size.
