Pusher Trailers... for CARS?

I was wondering, what about the opposite?.. having an ICE car with an electric trailer. Naturally its no where near as ideal, but a way easier sell as 95% of the people I know have an iCE car, and 99.85% of the people I know do not have an electric car. So is this totally not worth doing or what? Its a lot of extra weight added to a vehicle that already has an ICE load, could it even help mileage? Any insurmountable obsticles to implementation?

Pushing too much metal. EVs need to be light. That car isn't unless its a toaster. Toaster is what my wife calls cars so small they look more like a kitchen appliance.
