Q85 Roller brake

sorry for noob question, I have Q85 with roller brake..
question is what is the roller brake and how can I use it ? Can I brake with this by controller or something needs to be attached there?

Or is it for a cruiser bicycle with a coaster brake? It's a geared hub motor so I don't think it can do regenerative braking?
