The 2 amp 48v LIFePo4 charger that I got with the first Headway Group buy works fine, but it sure does wipe out most of my FM radio stations as well as other frequencies when it is charging. They could probably use my charger in Cuba to jam the the US Radio Marti broadcasts ! ( although they already have very effective devices to do that)

Does anyone have a charger that doesn't generate radio frequency interference ? If so where can one be obtained ?

It probably does not meet FCC standards for radiated emissions.
It would be very difficult to know which chargers are noisy and which aren't.
It could have a defective component or connection somewhere inside that's causing the problem.

You could try adding snap-on ferrite chokes to the lead wires, both the charging wires and the AC power line.
It might be just one or the other end that's radiating.

If you want to get rid of the ambient EMI you could try using aluminum foil and build a Faraday cadge around it (i would also coat it a non conductive material like paper or something to prevent shorting something to ground as the shield must be grounded).

Yes a Faraday Cage around the unit. But there's always a chance the RFI gets out thru the power cord so cut those as short as you can and plug the charger into a power strip that has adequate ground loop isolation.

Does the RFI interference on your FM radio sound like a low hum? If so then you can get a hi-pass filter from your local HAM radio store.

It would guess there's a very high likelyhood that most of the noise is conducting along the power lines or battery lines. I don't think shielding it with foil is a good idea from a heat standpoint, but you could try it for a breif test. I bet it won't help much. They used to sell those snap-on chokes at Radio Shack. I salvage them off computer power supplies, etc.

No hum is detected - just almost like an attenuator. I will try experimenting with suggestions - test with foil wrapped, cut cords short as possible and put chokes on them.
Thanks for the suggestions.
