I've had a knocking/rattling noise from my BBS02B for a while and have talked to the reseller who has been less than helpful unfortunately. I've disassembled the motor and thr bottom rotor bearing seems fine and came off still attached to the rotor. The top shaft that connects to the nylon gears is loose however. I first thought the o-ring was missing and needed to be replaced, but reading through the forum I saw that the shaft diameter should be exactly 8.0mm. Mine is 7.7mm..

Would a new rotor solve this issue, or is the bearing most likely toast as well?

Check this out, its because of a design flaw, nylon gear and rotor have helical pattern which produce lateral forces. Since bbs02b doesnt have thrust bearings the rotor forces itself onto the bearing and grinds its self down you can see pictures in my post

Thanks, I'll check it out. At this point, is anything on the bbs02 not a design flaw?

The reseller finally reached out and I'll send it out for repair. Hopefully it'll last for at least another year. I'll look for preventative measures (like loctite) to increase its lifespan while I look for a new alternative, like thräe bbshd or something else entirely..
