anyone know how much torque these big outrunner rc motors can put out?

if i were to make a go cart with four 12 volt 100ah car batteries, would there be enough torque to push it or would it burn up?

id aim for a top speed of around 45 mph with reasonable acceleration, doesnt have to be neck snapping...but a bit of oomph to it would be nice.

thanx!

Sure. Google "RC motor go kart"

This has been done before and it works well. The motor and controller would cost a bundle, though. I bet $800 for mtoro and ESC would be the minimum to drive a kart decently. There is a guy on youtube that has 3 outrunners with 3 ESCs that runs awesome!

sorry for my slow reply guys.

thanks for the links and reassurance that the motor will be powerful enough...

i was just a bit hesitant because of the extreme weight of four 12 volt 100ah batteries.

the link that was given appears to be using litium batteries, anyone have a link with someone using regular old heavy lead batteries? 4-8 of them?

thanks again.
