Hello to all. I wan to build my first rig but I'm overwhelmed at the choices. Maybe someone can persuade me with a setup?
I want to go with Blank Pro 97mm, probally EZ-RUN 150a, 36t or 40t wheel pulleys, famous SK3 6374(xxxKV?) and dont mind buying ZippFlight 6s 8000mah.
Can anyone make use of or better recommend parts? My Goal is 25-30mph and 20+ mile range with a 180-190lbs rider on a dual setup.
Some thing like this MetroBoardhttp://metro-board.com/shop/40-metroboard-slim-electric-longboard-stealth-black/ without the $1,699.99 for the 36v 16ah would be heaven sent.
(40 miles!!! :D)
I've been gathering info for some time and would like some good help from good people!
Thanks in advance for all the helpfull responses...

Better is to calculate by Watt Hours instead of 1ah. Because, 12S5ah isn't 5 mile :)

Voltage * Ah rating. (44.4V) 12S * 7.5ah/7500mah = 44.4v * 7.5ah = 333wh

333wh / 10wh = 33.3 * .62 miles = 20.646 miles or 33.3 km

Average rating
.62 miles per 10Wh
1km per 10Wh

The rating can be much higher. These figures are a bit lean.

For for about 20 miles, you need 333Wh or similar.

As for your setup.. it all depends.

Do you want to climb hills? Do you need a second motor? What are you using it for? How fast do you need?

From what you've said... A single 63mm motor with 1:2 to 1:3 gearing 36:16 for 1:25 gearing on 6S should get you to about 20mph. If you want more hill climbing ability go with (2) motors on either 6S or 12S.

If you want just more capacity add to the parallel series.

thanks torqueboards
Ok so if I understand the math correctly 3 x 6s (22.2v) 8000mah batts would give me 33.03miles on paper right? {((22.2v*8)/10)*.62=11.01}. If so would 3P for each motor(6Batts) be sound or overkill with dual SK63 36:16? Climbing hills is a deff... And wanna whiz pass boosted boards and smh as it can't keep up with the distance either :D :D :D

If money isn't an option..

I'd go 8S/10S on pedi glide hub motor and/or Dual 63mm 230KV or so...

One of the two options should get you going real fast.

3x 6S 8000mah is 22.2v * 24ah = 532.8wh / 10wh = 53.28 * .62 = 33.03 mile range.  YAWP!

Of course if you throttle it hard it would be less but yeah.

@torqueboards
Ok, yeah I meant the Multirotor battery packs @ HobbyKing that have 10C ? Will I still be able to do like 25mph? Come to think of it, car accidents @ 30mph are bad so I'm not concerned with passing that speed. In between is my comfort zone. Will they last "about" as long as higher "C" packs or better investment otherwise? Meaning lifetime given the same "TLC"?

@ Pediglide
BTW thanks for replying and just left your site but couldn't figure out how to buy a dual-ly. I see only a SK3 shaft under "Shop". I'm tallying up my parts and LOVE what i saw in that vid..
