Hey everyone,

I just wanted some suggestions from those of you who have built packs with these cells.. I can remove the residue of the old cells with rubbing it away with my finger .. however the newer generation cells .. it seems the residue is much stronger and harder to remove!!!.. I'm talking about the cells with the 4 spot welds ..

any chemicals i use like go go gone... achool... wd40 .. seem to damage the coating on the cells ..

can you guys make suggestions?

thanks

I'd be curious to see some photos of these "newer generation" packs. The only 4 spot ones I've run across are with the VT cells in the 1.5ah packs. All the dozens of 3ah I've taken apart had 2 spots per V cell. I was thinking of googone also, but clearly that's not cutting it for you. :?

hey everyone..

ok ..

i used the hot heat of a blow dryer to remove some residue .. but burt some of my finger tips in the process removing the residue while the tab is hot ..

i've been using a combination of heat and a bit of chemicals.. but boy its a pain for some of these packs.
