Remove speed limiter

]Hi all,

I have been searching high and low for some info about my controller the past week without any luck.
What I want is to remove the speed limiter from my controller if it's possible, so wondering if any of you know how to do it?

The bike is a chinese noname 24V / 12ah lead, with the controller I have added pictures of.

I don't have any looped wires, jumpers, or any text called 'enhncment' on the controller it looks like.

Thanks,
costad

Do you have a display that shows speed/mileage/etc. Most times the display has a code to remove limit. I do not think the controller has a speed limiter. What kind (Brand) of bike do you have?

Hi,

No, there's no display at all, and it's a brandless bike.
The bike is this one: http://www.wupti.com/produkter/bolig-og-fritid/hobby-og-legetoej/cykler/el-cykel-26-m6-shimano-gear-sort?cid=pc_911205000000

If there's no speed limiter, do you think the low voltage is what is maxing out around that speed?

What makes you think the controller has a speed limiter?

A 24V (lead-acid)/26" bike using a fast wound 9 RPM/V Bafang motor for example is going to have a top speed of roughly 25 km/h. If you want to go faster you need to increase the voltage. Go to a 36V lithium battery and your top speed will be about 35 km/h. Your controller may work at that voltage (check capacitor and FET voltage ratings) but most likely you'll want a new 36V model.

Ahh I see. Thanks guys.
So basically my system is performing at top capacity, so no shunt mod, or whatever is going to help me at all with a little extra power?

If I decide to buy a 36V battery, would a KU65 controller work fine, eventhough that's also only a 15A controller?

If you go to a 36v Lithium you should gain some speed and shed a LOT of weight. I see that the other models are 36 v and front wheel drive. Looks like the same motor .
