Hello,
My Sabvoton 72200, that is pretty new, and had been working fine; has developed a fault that I have not managed to find information about on the net.
When switching on the unit the red LED blinks on & off, the green LED remains off. On checking the phone app with the bluetooth dongle plugged in I find the controller cannot be detected.
So, concluding that there must be something wrong with the 5 volt rail, I checked it with an oscilloscope on the throttle and hall connectors and found the 5 volt rail goes from .5 volts to about 2 volts then back down to .5 volts continuously cycling. Clearly nothing will work if the 5 volt rail does not remain on and stable.
I do have the unit open and have started looking for the problem but, I wondered if anyone on this board has had this problem and perhaps knows of a possible fix or, perhaps has a circuit diagram of the DC to DC converter in these controllers.
Many thanks,
Frank.
