I have an 80a Sabvoton - it worked fine the last time I used it...
Now, the controller does not register any voltage change with the throttles. I tried 6 different throttles, so I"m confident the throttles themselves are ok.
I checked the voltage between the throttles positive and negative: 4.8v which is right.
I checked the voltage between signal and negative - 0.74v which should be fine.
But when I twist the throttles, no changes appear on the controller's app.
And the motor does not turn.
Brake lines are disconnected, so that's not preventing a voltage change.
I tried a different controller and the throttle doesn't change.
I bought and installed a new throttle today with the 80a controller, and the throttle voltage doesn't change.
Going back a bit - my yellow phase wire had a weak spot near the connector, and melted through the connector - it came off the yellow post.
That immediately stopped my bike, and kicked in an error on my Far DRiver. So the Fardriver is toast.
I replaced the fardriver with this known good Sabvoton / MQCon 80a controller, and still the voltage level does not change with throttle on.
I know the motor works, because i was able to make it spin by lowering the throttle's voltage threshold on the controller.
So, what would cause the voltage to not change with throttle on? With two separate controllers and known good throttles?
This is a mystery to me.
Could the hall sensors have fried? If they did, how does the motor spin?
I don't know -
Any thoughts?
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
