Samsung Note 7 fires

FAA/DOT bans all Note 7 phones from domestic flights starting tomorrow: ..
I wonder how they will ensure it is enforced ?
Will they train all security and flight staff to identify a Note 7 , or tell the difference from a Oppo 7 or any one of the many similar units ?
Will all phones etc be subject to detail inspection to identify them ?

Have they said anything beyond the euphamistic "Oh, it's the batteries?" I find myself thinking about how my 28 month old Motorola Maxx has a way of warming up even when I'm not using it, apparently causing the shutting down and staying off on occasion. I notice it'll come on pretty easy if I pitch in into the freezer for awhile.

Is it literally the batteries, or is the phone deciding to crunch nih numbers or something to the point it overheats the batteries? Could Motorolas be at risk?

News coverage I’ve heard is they’re not going to be hardcore looking for the phones but if they do see one TSA agent will ask the passenger to leave and not bring it back through the checkpoint.

I think the main point is “cover their ass” in the event someone does bring one onboard and it catches fire, it will be on the passenger.
