Back in March 2009, Sanyo launched a new line-up of Eneloop Electric back alongside its first Solar Parking for Electric bike, and today, just a few minutes from where I live, Sanyo inaugurate another Solar Parking as well as providing 100 of Sanyo Eneloop Bike as “Community bicycles†offered by the Setagaya Ward to people who need/desire to use such bike (for a fee of course).

It’s now official, Tokushima prefecture has Sanyo’s first solar parking lot for electric bikes where you can recharge a conventional power supply. Just park your bike, remove the battery, place it in the charging bay, and voila! It’s 100% independent of any conventional power source and can be built virtually anywhere.
Alongside this world’s first for Sanyo and its Eneloop Technology (rechargeable batteries), they now offer a business model to their latest Eneloop bike line. Based on the latest Eneloop bike, (more information here) the business model is made for use mainly within companies who borrow bikes for their staff (factories, universities, hospitals…). The Eneloop business bike is built stronger than the original for a longer lifespan.
