Schwinn/32 10 Build Conclusions

Good info......

I can tell you the hollow shaft will not do anything for you. The heat is not built up in the rotor, but the stator. Cooling the shaft will not net you anything. Stick with good heatsinks.

Also, the 3220 will give you so much headroom in power and temperature. I think you will be very happy with the 3220.

I also found this to be a very informative thread. The description of your build choices, pictures of the bike and problem solving really help to understand the process.

Wheazal,
I bet these small motored boats present a hi-Kv-sync issue:

FighterCat ESC is not e-bike proven. It is a 72V 200A unit that I'll use at 12S lipo (loaded 44-48V) and program it to limit current at 150A. Its' programing is similiar to Castle Creations, just no computer feedback where the settings are set. You USB it to your computer and assign values for throttle sensitivity, throttle lag, timing degrees, kz, lvc, and 25/50/75/100% current limiting. Hope that does it :? It's thinner than the Castle HV160, has 3 input caps and full length heat sink. Its' current limiting feature might make it a preferable choice over Castle Creations, gonna find out

Full voltage tested (72v) with 4 pole, 6 pole, 8 pole, 10 pole and 12 pole motors.
Thank you gents,
the thread is somewhat cluttered but an honest beginners' build
