Screw stuck on battery

Please can someone tell me how I can remove a stuck screw /
I have ruined the screw head by using the wrong screwdriver Any ideas how I can undo this?
I've got the right screwdriver now and I've tried spraying it with WD40 but it still won't budget. I'm hoping you guys might have some easy methods that I could try.

Yeah its a small bolt, I couldn't upload a photo. I tried WD40 and then a rubber band and it didn't move much. I followed this video and got it out with a dab of superglue in the end : https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+to+Remove+a+Stripped+Screw/13213

Depending on how much meat is left on it, I'd use a dremel with a thin abrasive disc to cut a slot across the head. If a straight screwdriver wont rotate it out, I'd use the dremel to grind the head completely off.

So the superglue technique worked. Thanks for sharing. I never would have thought to try that one.

Regarding WD40, it's never worked for me, and I saw a video of tests of several products that confirmed its ineffectiveness. Sure it has lots of other uses, but since it's a Water Displacement spray (thus the WD) not a penetrating oil, don't waste time using it to get a bolt unstuck. Down here there's a product called Break Away that works almost every time for me. Really tough to remove threaded parts often require patience to get enough penetration to be helpful.

Fwiw they do sell a full line of "specialist" products under the WD-40 label that aren't actually the original WD-40. Just happen to have a can of their dry lube PTFE spray sitting next to me here, which I quite like.
