Hi,

I have Sevcon Gen4 Size 4 and Motenergy ME1302 (DLC-28) motor.

I am newbie and I tried to configure by my-self. I can see the throttle analog input signals and when I rotate the motor with my hand I can see left motor RPM value. So, I think Encoder data is successfully received but not configured well.
Also, I can hear the electrical sounds of the motor when I rotate manually.

So, could you please help me? Do you have any DCF or DLD file for program Sevcon Gen4 Size4 for DLC-28 motor.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best,
Aaron.

Hi Aaron,

I have the same motor ME1302 and Gen4 drive (but mine is size 6). Everything is proprietary with these Sevcon guys, so there's no room for coding on your own. I got stuck with this subject several years ago when I tried to modify the system. I'm attaching the files you are mentioning, but that's as far as I can go. Back in the day, only the Applications Engineer from Sevcon had level 5 access in order to modify freely the configuration of the Gen4. Any other lower access level will serve for monitoring purposes (check RPM, temperature, the voltage input from the throttle 0-10V, etc).
Where did you buy this motor and drive? Was it sold to you as a whole integrated system already wired up with everything "needed"? I bought it just like that, but it's like using a black-box system, or a Xmas RC-car, and I was hoping for a more hands-on experience related to the control of the motor (such as to modify the PID gains to see what happens).

Regards.
