Shenzen controller not booting up

I have an infineon/shenzen controller here with cycle analyst hookup. Unfortunately, it is not working. In fact all four I have on hand are not working. The little red power wire is hooked up, and all of my other controllers are working fine. What am I missing? Maybe a jumper I must put on the CA plug? I am getting no help from China on this.

I recall a post about the CA plug being miswired on some units.

Measure the throttle wires and see if you can get +5v there. If you don't see +5v, then I would suspect a problem with the voltage regulator or a short in the 5v line.

I don't have a CA plugged in, but I am getting proper voltage out of the throttle.

Maybe it has something to do with no CA being plugged in?

Maybe some luck will pass my way? Right now I have a few unhappy customers, absolutely zero support from the factory, and one pissed off business owner. Is there a reason that it wouldn't work without the CA? Can somebody take one of their controllers and remove the direct plugin CA and see if it still works?

both pedal first and sensored. The only consistence is that they all have CA hookup. I tried spinning them up. All of my other controllers without CA work fine, so it isn't throttle or battery issues.

oops - I meant the powerlock is on the"brushed" controllers. Is yours brushed or brushless?
I don't know if the brushless ones have the powerlock switch?
I basically cut off the plug that said "powerlock, and soldered the two wires going into the connector together.
That is equivalent to turning the controller on, with a switch connected to the powerlock connector.

Turns out there was multiple bad throttles, but it does not explain my customers with controllers that do not work . I got mine to work with a new throttle.

More testing. MULTIPLE bad throttles. What kind of odds?!?! I even tested them and the voltage out was looking good. I feel like some of my RC customers where they have problems for weeks, then they ask me about it or I look at it and the problem goes away.

Tear one apart and do some extreme testing to see WTH... :)
