Hello all,

Yesterday i bought 12 FET 4110 MOSFET Extreme Modder Controller LYEN Edition.
I havent got it yet but i want to do some work so as to be ready when it arrives.
So, is there a way to use the shimano vbrakes as ebrakes?
How am i going to do that and what do i need?
Lyen's controller has one connector [black-yellow] for ebrake.

thank you.

i'm new to ebike scene.

You dont need this for it to work, It is a safety feature so when you pull the brake lever the controller stops powering the motor. If you want to use this feature you will need a way of joining the black and yellow wire together when the brake is pulled, this is normally done with a e-brake lever, it has a small switch built into the lever so it joins these to wires together when you pull the lever, if you want to use your existing brake levers then you will need to make a similar arrangement i.e a switch that 'makes' when the lever is pulled.

can't i just remove the switch from the cheap chinese brake lever and put it to the better shimano?

whatever, if you can make it work reliably. on a mechanical brake you can possibly use a spring loaded switch that attaches on the brake line. I got one with my rear light that had a brake light feature.
on a hydro brake you're likely screwed. many of us have been putting momentary switches on lever blades. you have to figure out a safe and tidy way to wire them.

I filed this link away to come back to some day:

Using Reed Switches For E-Brakes.

At the moment, I'm just doubling up my ebrake lever overtop of my integrated brake/shifter. But eventually I want to get around to trying something like that. I also bought a couple of cheap brake light kits from DealExtreme (this one I think) with a pressure switch, like miuan mentioned. I only looked at it quickly once, but it didn't look like it would be easy to make that work reliably with my cantilever brakes.

I just dremeled off the relevant parts from the ebrake levers (switch, stop) and epoxied them to the underside of my good levers. One full summer of use, and no problems.
