Small scooter for two

First off I know nothing about scooters, but I have a need. The wife and I like to camp and fish. We would like to set up camp and go fishing, from hole to hole without breaking camp and/or driving our RV a mile or so or around the park. That being said, I am looking for a small scooter I can put on a bike-like carrier on the rear of our RV (for traveling) and load and unload by myself and cart the two of us around. I found the Falcon Hummer Li, but I believe it's made in China and am leery of that in it self and it also is "belt" driven, which raises other doubts. What's available without mortgaging the house?
Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks

The rub is going to be that you want to "cart the two of you" around with fishing gear. This raises some funny pictures to mind, scooter bumping along a dirt trail with legs and poles flying about. But seriously, two people on a mid-size gas scooter is a push. I would seriously consider two bicycles. Simple coaster-brake with low speed gearing for easy peddling.

This is assuming the fishing holes are not too far apart. You mentioned a mile. Even if your hole-to-hole travel for the day is three miles, I would have to go with bicycles. If you are physically challenged or a senior, consider a step-through electric bicycle for each of you. Happy fishing!

You're right, it isn't a pretty sight. The wife has asthma and I bad knees. Was thinking about a gas one, but was unsure about the maintenance. And besides my bad knees, I have ten thumbs when it comes of repairs. Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't any 2 person electric scooter outside of china. They would be illegal in Texas, and likely many other states as well. Most state parks enforce state laws and I've found they make me present my insurance and check the registration and inspection for my moped as I enter the camp grounds.

I had a similar need, and ended up with a Fifty dollar 1978 Peugeot moped, one of the rarer 2 seat models. It only weighed 100lbs and fit on my bike rack, and could haul my girlfriend and I around the camp or to the Local town without breaking camp.

It had been used for a couple decades to haul around a elderly couple at the Canton trade days flea market in Texas, as well as local errands and such.

A modern electric start moped can haul 2 people, and there are racks with ramps ment for mopeds, scooters, and tiny motorbikes that can fit on a car hitch. With their auto transmission, you could "drive" them up the ramp while standing beside it.

I know this is an Electric site, but sometimes gas Is the answer. I believe it is in your case.

Check out the ZEV Trail 5100. Would work nicely. But not a small scooter.

Cool Scoot! If I was still working for a paycheck I would seriously consider one of these. For now, errands, visits and such, are planned around my 20-25 mile range eBikes.

But for 2 mile fishing trips, those little schwinn electric scooters might work. Last I checked, you could get TWO for less than a grand.
