Winter coming in few month and i'm wondering if it woudl be amusing to try to plow the snow on my garage parking by installing an agressive motorcross tire 3.5" ( 16" rim) on the rear motor and a plow in front of the trike

I searched for any ecisting idea and found this pedal powered snow plower

Great Idea!! :D

The pull behind plow is simply genius! Best of both worlds, you get to ride in the snow on your bike, AND clear the walk at the same time! 8)

Of course it's only going to make a narrow path and can't handle deep drifts, but what set-up on a bicycle can?

If you do use that snowmobile track, will you still have a tire up front?

Maybe then you could call it a Snomobike!

I am now looking for some 120 track

120 seem the number for the serie of these kid snow mobile like:

XC-120
ZR120
Mini Z
Z120

Hard to find a great price!!

most of the track i found are at 300$ !!

and i need the assembly too!

Any help will be appreciated!

Make a snowplow out of a VW bug, converted to electric of course. The tow bars that attach to the axle would be the starting point for the plow.

Another interesting traction technology you may be able to adopt:

that thing is nice.. but on a soft and deep snow it will act like a chainsaw!

Doc,
I'm researching tracks info too for my e-sledge idea. Thanks

But where are you planning to install the motor and which type ? Hub ?

I always start to find the design with the least components. So I was thinking to install a hub motor inside the track , actually fitting it directly with sprocket. Crazy idea ?

Yes, Hub motor INSIDE the track is one of the idea i had, but problem is that i would need to use a very small diameter motor unless i cut the actual swing arm of my etrike to let enough room for a 5300 motor diameter
