Anybody got the dope on solid state batteries vs semi solid state? I'm stoked on solid state, but not so sure about less expensive semi solid state.

Those of you who have been on the forum remember what happened with me. I just had to go to the dark side after my battery fire unhoused me. Gas motorcycles suddenly had a lot of appeal. But now my knees are acting up, and I know from experience the best thing for them will be lots of spinning at near zero effort on an e bike. So I bought a 500w 20" cargo bike on ebay last week. But still, I just gotta charge that cheap ass 18650 cell battery outside. Its a pain.

But now there seems to finally be a new, safer, solid state battery actually for sale. Amazon has the yoshina power stations for sale, with what seems to be a true solid state chemistry. Those type devices with 18650's in them were a total turn off for me. Burn you van down IMO. Better to carry lead, or at least lifepo4.

I started to look at other sources for solid state, and found drone batteries for sale. Cheap enough, but a few sites called the battery semi solid state, and they seemed to be still lipo, but with a less liquid electrolyte.

Whats the deal with solid state? How many types are there? Does it even have lithium? At least one type seems to not have lithium at all. But the drone batteries just seem to be same ol lipo. It seems like energy density is one tip off, real solid state is crazy light.

Samsung showcases solid-state battery technology with a range of 600 miles.

Honestly the most interesting thing was the samsung lifepo4 in this article. I wonder if their first generation ones will be good.

Much better than the 'in 5 years' or 'in 3 years' we've been hearing about for solid state, haha..

Care to share any links or good search terms? I'm curious now.
