Speedometer for Votol one line speed vs phase wire speed signal

Hello I have 2 questions for a scooter 72v 3000w

1) in a new speedometer vendor says it can be connected to two sources

purple --yxt/one line speed
yellow--phase wire speed signal

in case i decide phase wire, are this from motor phase wire thick, any color or from hall sensor connector *also any color ??

2) if I use in votol config one lin protocol it works fine but speed is like doubled, is this because wrong setting in terms of # of magnets for ej? 20kmh gps shows 32!!

Don't you have to calibrate the display for your vehicle? The controller only knows rpm, not your gearing or wheel size.

Does your software have the display speed adjustment parameter?

yes E-HP but changing values acording does nothing,,,, i ve even tested 0 and still same results....default is 9428 and the formula is
(SA/SCx64) * 256

You could test continuity between the connector and the phase wires to see if they are the same. I’ve never messed with those wires (I only have one generic controller that has them), but since the phase voltage changes when throttle is applied, I’d be less tempted to connect a Speedo directly to the phase wires.

Please!! I cant believe cant find this information, still in doubt!!!!---> Can I connect a motor phase wire to this speedometer, provided that vendor says:


yellow-->phase wire speed signal
is not my bike, so cant just "test", if it would work, what happens when decelerating or turning off while speed is present, would it still work?
