Spintend UBOX CAN bus question

Hello!

I have a Spintend Ubox V2 75V 100A X2 that I'm trying to get CAN data from.

Some background. I'm building a custom display for my scooter that will display speed, power and so on.

The vesc has two ports, CAN IN and CAN OUT. I've connected my ESP32 with CANL and CANH inputs plus ground but i get nothing. It connects but it's silent. Same on both CAN IN or CAN OUT.

Im making sure I'm listening for extended 29 bit CAN IDs which i found is the vesc standard.

The weird thing is that even the CAN alanyzer in the VESC tool is silent.

Does anyone know if the Spintend vesc, in particular the Ubox X2 exposes the CAN data on any of the external ports?

I could change to use UART but I'm already using an ADC adapter so i might have problems transmitting to the vesc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So I've tried UART as well and there's no data. Maybe Spintend have not enabled this on their controllers.

I've asked them but not got any reply.

If that's the case then I have a pretty expensive paper weight. Maybe time to hunt down a different controller.

Solved! I had the incorrect pins defined for CAN L/H in the ESP32 script. Now I can read the frames.
