it is legen!!!!!! wait for it ....

i finished the build of steini - with the same setup as my Scorpion FS trike.
i only did few laps around the houses but wow! what i can say- it feels like it has much better balance than what i achieved with scorpion fs. I feel that i can corner much faster. It also feels more stable.

I have to finish off the gears front rear ect... to see how it goes with pedalling.
On scorpion fs at higher speed, pedalling brought a lot of inbalance and shaking.

I think this steini is definitely up for 5404 and in queue to compete with Doc's masterpieces. [Doc- i hope one day you will find 5403 and smoke my ass off with the rubber remainings from your tyres!

The only problem , as i mentioned in other thread is, extending steel dropouts from 135mm to 150mm. Gosh, im really scared - 1.5cm is not much comparing to my d****, but plenty when looking at the rear swing arm!

...dary!!!

Congrats!

Pics?

CRAZY SHIT!!! So much fun, especially after few rainy days , all nice wet muddy and slippery :)

So much power for off-road riding with HS3540 and 44v in 20''. You really dont need HT unless you have huge steep hills and 26''...

Only thing i miss is the rear brake handle - i only have the parking brake thingy but i really need to have this brake handle close to my other handles to do more crazy stuff!

I really went hard on the trike and the xlyte 3540 and it is holding up well. We will see how it goes ...

You really cant compare it with Scorpion FS. It is like Land Rover vs Mercedes... I missed my Scorpion until today - after hard core off-road im in love with this CS [Crazy Shit]

Hey Wojtek
Congrats! That's what they look like all right. The extra suspension width of the Mungo should allow higher cornering speeds than my Mad Max. I have had to slow down so I dropped my volts from 54 to 36 but the ride is still great. Now you need the Velo cover to complete the trike! Kool!

yup!

actually on roads i would welcome up to 6kw on this trike.
But off -road , 2500W peak is more than enough. While off-roading, the feeling of speed is at least twice as on the road.

I have to admit Steintrike is great mashine. Best off road trike i have ever ridden.
BUT The velo cover... it is the worst thing! I had a chance to ride thunderstorm velomobile. It is just not working to put it in the polite words.
Interceptor is supposed to be better, but the guy i bought mungo from, returned it back. So i guess it is not great either.

I will be getting second hand Go-One Evo. It is OK. Nothing to compare with Evo K, but i have not hit my head strong enough to spend 11k EUR on this velomobile. But i tried it, it is amazingly fast machine with excellent handling. If i win lottery i will definitely get it.

I visited the factory, those 2 velos are totally different, they should be named differently. One added letter doesn't give the justice.

OK, changed the parking brake into a normal brake level using crystalyte e-brake.
So rear wheel works with cut off.

at the same time added 50% more V to get 66v nominal. The torque and speed with 40a xlyte sensorless is crazy :)

63kmh on flats with thick off road tyres. It is too much power for offroad [although great fun for doing crazy things on wet grass :D]

The rear brake - yes it is very tricky, can be dangerous but also is adding a lot of fun.

The problem is, the motor is getting really hot. It burns after 1sec of touching it after over an hour ride [ a bit aggressive but i could do much worse!]

It is exactly what Ilia once told me - DD are not efficient at low speeds. Prob off road riding [slow - fast, uphill, rear wheel spinning, ect
ect...]

BMC v2 T would probably be the best in terms of heating issues and efficiency for offroad. Dont need high speed as there are not many good quality tracks and "fire roads" where i can go 60kmh offroad

That is a really nice looking trike.

I dream of having suspension, the cycle tracks I commute on are quite broken and rough and I have to slow down on my KMX.

I recently received my Cycle Analyst so I could retire my Watt Meter and up the voltage to 66.6V and wow it accelerates much more quickly as well as having a higher top speed. My 3540 definitely gets warmer but I have not had it get so hot I could not keep my hand on it. I obviously do not ride as fast as you!

yes the full suspension makes all the difference.
Not just any suspension, steintrike seems to get it really right!

Scoprion FS maybe be OK for roads [actually it is great for raods] but it cannot handle off road. With steini i can go good speeds offroad with comfort

Lets see if the KMX guys here will finally come up with custom made suspension!

first serious accident - my ass hurts very badly and elbow bleeds
