Yeah, discussed already. :D

Everything is wired and soldered
Phase wires crimped

Got an temp sensor in my rc charger pile. LM35 be it :D
file.php

Silicone sealant everywhere, it holds wires in place and gives additional insulation, no, i just love this mess.

Both electrical and thermal insulation...I'll be interested to see if you get any better thermal performance from this vs a stock vented HS35xx.

Cheers

You are right if I would go air cooling, would I? :D

All sensors and wires OK,now assembling the motor.
New seals inside, protector cap reversed to avoid seal rubbing on wire (channel is epoxi filled and round filed to axle shape)
file.php

Covers silicon sealed, oil sump cooling fill screw in place.
file.php

Vent tube installed, it also oils freewheel if oil comes out. So it is multipurpose! :D
file.php

So, the motor is oil cooling ready, but I will look an the performance as is first. 8)

Now it makes sense. :)
Putting sealant on the windings isn't really necessary for oil cooling is it?
I plan on doing the same to my HS4080 at some stage.

Cheers
Not totally necessary, notice, I have sealant on 1 side, were those interconnections of different phases over each other are. Those wires move by constant temp changes or what ever other reason and hypothetically rub on each other, damaging insulation. Other factor is erosion caused by oil and particles in it. Finally, satisfaction of my paranoidal concerns :D I will run it on 36s Lipo.

36s!

We need to start a lottery on how long it will last.
I am looking to get 14" moped rim locally, so Im going "mathematically" for under 80kmh on flat. Will be easier then 94kmh wot before, I hope.

P.S. This time I have temp sensor and last CA with temp sensor input to make it fool proof or me proof :)

Here is how it looks in 1.6x14" rim, laced and trued. :D
file.php

My concerns are:
1) derailleur is about 9cm of the ground on 1.2x17" moped rim tire
2) It also not taking the biggest sprocket because chain is rubbing on slim 17" tire
It looks this way.
file.php

3)I am undecided, should use it to make reasonably powered bike with 4115 24fet as shown above or unreasonably under powered moped with same controller as shown below. :?

Hate those guys, called hall sensors, when they fail and even more after epoxying them in thoroughly. :D 1 hall failed on phase hall combination search :( It was 1 of those survivors. Just installed my last S41, hope last survivor 41f will hold.

Got a flat on the moped yesterday and needed to unmount the wheel, so all came together on moped.

Did not find 14" tire I like locally so will look in the net, but got uber used tire with tube in local tire repair shop, for half prize of a new tube. :D
Looks beautiful, must be dangerous as well.

Litle of technical info.
I get 70kph at 92V no load, with wheel circumference of 153cm.
It is 762.52rpm at 92V and 8.29kv at 6turns on 32mm stator.
Loses at no load 70kph with tire mounted and 6oz of SLIME inside is 160W. (140W without slime)
Loaded max speed at 90V is 60kph on flat. (2000W in, about 350lbs)

Thems looking like impressive numbers, 37mph on 22amps! be interesting to compare it directly against some of the std wind crystalytes.

My next controller will definitively be Lebowsky stile sensor less start FOC type! Last survivor hall is kaput :x Have to purchase some s41 to contine... or borrow cheep 1 from 4 remaining new MXUS hubs meanwhile

Oh, I almost forgot 66.8 kmh on flat 96V 1800w back wind and 62 kmh 95.5V 2200W on way back, against wind, so it is about same.

Have a steep hill to get home, even oil cooled MXUS is every time over 100c when I climb home. Temp sensor was measuring 97c max on the back of lamination and cage. Temp on the winding could be about 20c higher.
Then I discovered, only about 220cc of oil will go in to the fill hole in 6 o'clock. MXUS 25mm stator has smaller housing volume, is thinner and bada bada but takes over 300cc oil at same level.

I am not very patient person, so I just took a hall from new MXUS I have in the box. Got only 1 failure in MXUS halls over 3 years in 6 running hubs, 2 of them in oil, hope it lasts... until s41's arrive
loses at no load(14"wheel/tire 6oz slime)220cc oil at 98v 817rpm 41C 250w. Will measure again at 92V to have better comparison to no oil figures.
