The chainring is spinning even when I don't spin the pedals, the engine makes a crazy sound when I do.

Hi, the bbshd engine is doing this problem.
When i start braking, the engine keeps turning slowly and this sound comes out.

The problem is that when I brake, the engine is still running slowly. The sound stops when I stop the engine completely.

It could be a faulty controller, but why is it making this sound?

I’m guessing it’s the controller too. Might be sending out a small, noisy signal even when no pedal input is given.

On my scooter, I intentionally make it send out a weak signal to the motor so that it shakes without moving and makes an “idle” sound, but I assume that’s not what you were going for.

Chainline is ok
