no physical automobile damage, except for whiplash.... a cool $1,000,000 in the pocket.

Hehe... So. You saw the bill from his mechanic?

In local newz... "Ontario urged to invest $65M in driverless cars"
"(Ontario urged to support driverless car industry to secure future auto jobs in the province.)"

In unrelated newz from history:
In 1926, the Carriage Builders' National Association met for the last time, signaling the automobile's final triumph over the horse-drawn carriage. Only a decade earlier, carriages and wagons were still a common sight on every Main Street in America. In the previous century, carriage-building had been one of the largest and most dynamic industries in the country.

So sad.

There is nothing wrong with being the only person in a car. Just drive a smaller car... and faster too, you know, to fight congestion...

^^ hehe... Smaller IS faster. At least in my experience passing hundreds of folks sitting bumper-to-bumper in urban traffic. :)

Wow that is not even funny, reminds me of when I was ebiking thru florida on vacation a few years back there were drainage sewer grates that looked similar to that one on the main roads everywhere, and if you weren't careful your tire would go right thru them. What were they thinking...obviously they should be turned the other way!

First time I came upon one it was too late to get out of the way, luckily I was going about 28mph so I sort of bunny hopped the bike just enough to clear it.
