The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*

I've been racking my brains which model to purchase but in the end it's the hardtail. Since I mainly ride in the city it makes sense to go with the HT 29 incher.

Now the other decision is which size, M, L, XL
I found this sizing chart which displays each model by Frey, compare frame sizes with which wheel.
I'm 6" 32" inseam and realize the L model difference to the M is about 2".
So I'm going with the Med 29".
I currently ride the M2S Sport R500 large size and feel its a tad to big.

Like some other folks, I had issues with the stock cranks on my HT1000. The non-drive side was essentially stripping out and would loosen, and I'd have to tighten it. It got bad enough that it was happening every 5 miles or so on a ride I was on, so I went looking for a replacement.

I wasn't looking for something particularly strong or lightweight. Cost was a factor.

After looking through online measurements and diagrams and making some guesses, I settled on the FSA CK-320/IS in 165mm, aka "Yamaha PW-X E-bike Armset", p/n 324-0046002260. $42 shipped to my door from FSA Pro Shop.

Fit is good overall, close to stock. I suspect they sit a smidge further outboard than stock, surely no one's preference but it doesn't matter much in my case as I'm anything but an efficient rider. Plenty of clearance obviously. I haven't put a many miles on them, just a couple test spins, but I am sure they'll be an improvement over what came on the bike originally.

Just wanted to make a note of it in case others are still looking for ideas to this issue.

I got the 27,5 but with "Normal" 2.4 supermoto x tires.
Hello, is it possible to put 2,35" tires on the HT1000 ? I would like to buy the Schwalbe Marathon Efficiency 27.5 x 2.35 (60_584), I do mostly asphalt, and some gravel or light terrain, I think it could be some good tires to replace my Maxxis tires 2.8, get more kms with my bike on a charge and still be able to do gravel (y)

Yes, if your 2.8" Maxxis tires fit, then the smaller 2,35" will fit, provided that the they are both on the same size wheel.

Frey website says 26" x 4.5". This indicates that 27.5" x 2.35" could fit.

Yes it will fit, I currently run Schwalbe Super Moto-X MTB Tyre Black 27.5+" 2.8" which i highly recommend.

I have pictures!

The top chainstay is a little odd looking, and it looks like it's too narrow for a 27.5" x 2.8" rear, but I'm waiting to hear back on that.
