I just bit the bullet and ordered a trike being built by Utah Trikes. Having done customer support for BBSxx series and EM3ev batteries, I've built some nice rides. Old age and decrepit legs led me to trikes. The first was unridable. For me, this was a horrible riding position, and the geometry is all wrong. Donated to a high school program that sets up bikes for those who can't afford one. VERY disappointed, and I was about to make an even bigger mistake, but a BBSHD on a Day6 Wide trike. The steering geometry totally sucks, but I rode it for a couple of years. Remembering to always keep a firm grip on the handlebars, or the wheel will fight and turn in and nearly crash.
Comfortable, but as I age, the squirrely steering just had me really disappointed. It's being stripped down to a front drive MXUS 36V/48V/52V. It actually feels better with the front. Sadly, these old legs had a difficult time mounting. Adding insult to injury, the wide Day6 axle is slightly bent and looks like the wheel may come off the rear. I can't count the number of times someone has flagged me to report a wheel coming off. NO REPLACEMENTS AVAILABLE, so I was sent a new, narrower rear assembly that will almost guarantee a catastrophe.

I recently remembered Utah Trikes, and every time I heard of them or had a customer who motorized their Utah trike seemed to be very happy.

Enter Fat Tad Crawler BBSHD. At some point one of my ebikes.ca Nine Continent wheel, Baserunner, and CA3 build will get done. I love the BBSHD but suffer from chain paranoia. I'd be much happier getting home under power. It is a heavy ride.

Now I just wait. After the sticker shock, once all the accessories were added.

Excited in Minnesnowta!

"chain paranoia" - do you mean a broken chain when you are using a mid-drive?

If your Nine Continent motor isn't laced into a rim yet, note that Grin has 65mm wide rims with the spoke holes close to the center to provide good triangulation. Or you could look up what they sell and find it elsewhere.
