Tyler Druden:
Let's get back to the original thread.
There are days you slay me sir!

Should we be judging the poetry based on stucture or content?

Just trying to lighten things up.

I look forward to JH's return... until then, we should honor his generous contributions with our own.

If I'm not mistaken, he had a bit if a verbal scuffle on here with an extremely stupid and disrespectful newb member whom he was polietly as possible informing that they were incorrect (and they obviously were). It was over batteries or motors I think.

And then stopped posting here.

He threw his pearls before swine, and had the swine bite one too many times IMO.

This is why I throw rocks of wisdom right at the faces of newb idiots who always think they are experts. Its the only way to keep from burning out while trying to correct the endless stream of retards to avoid them poisoning the knowledge pool with the constant stream of creatively incorrect sh*t they keep spewing.

Jeremy was just much too nice. Almost inhumanly nice like a saint. And the man was one of the very few always correct sources of info on this board. He taught me many things.
Im sorry man I have much to lern and I would be much wiser but you never call any more im so lost without you

yep, sorry my memory is going numb from lookin at bike racks... the one i have is almost better then if just bent the bracket bit more .

che

Well for the record, you are drunker than me then....

Hello everyone,

Jeremy is alive and well, and sends his regards to all his friends on E-S.

I actually met Jeremy some years ago, through our mutual interests in hovercraft and flying, and then we both independently got into e-biking and met up again on E-S. I've spoken to him on the phone recently; basically he's taking a holiday from the forum because he's starting a new project. I'll let him reveal the details when he comes back, but as you'd expect it's both interesting and ambitious.

Nick

That my friend, Is a total tease

So, this is the rack you want?

Give me the exact OD of your seatpost tube, and the length you want it, and the angle of the bend you want, and I will make it 20minutes for $10 in materials and mail it to you free.
file.php

BUT, keep in mind, I'm not doing it because I like you, I'm doing it just so Jeremy's name won't have to be written into poems anymore... lol

You think if I build a rack for that lazy guy, he will go away?

edit: You beat me to it Luke.

Yes, I think it will be a time saver in the long run, the rack will take less time to build than having to read additional posts about Jeremy not giving him a rack that he should just build himself.

Not sure, because the profile has been changed, but the person in need of the rack may be in the UK. You may want to think again about the free mailing.

I just welded an arm to the seat post when I wanted a rack in that position. It means I don't have to worry about the strength of clamps or about them slipping or working loose.

I've read your various thread on this rack malarky, and I gotta say that dealing with the primary issue (the rack) is gonna be a better use of your time than the secondary problem of this Jeremy guy. Problem is.....I don't really see what the problem is.

I understand the following -

You want to mount a box under a rack
You have a rack that almost works but not quite
You can't find a rack that is perfect
You can't modify your existing rack or fabricate anything because you have limited tools and materials
You are somewhat housebound so you can't get out much

Is this correct?

But you still have plenty of options there. Sounds like modifying your existing rack is gonna be the best way to go. Ask a friend, family member or neighbour to mod it or fabricate something for you. If you don't have any friends family or neighbours then post an ad on gumtree or even in the window of the nearest newsagent.

Fabricate something out of any old crap you have lying around. get creative. make some standoffs out of bits of wood or something. if you can't drill a couple of holes then get a roll of gaffa tape. or use some plastic and make holes in it with a hot nail. Ok it might look like shit but it will work and you can be happy you sorted the problem yourself.

If all of this is still beyond you then at least describe the problem properly including dimensions. draw a crappy picture in MS paint or something. maybe I can make something here and send it to you.

EDIT: lol I while I was typing that I see you now have multiple offers of help so I reckon the ball is back in your court.

Hooray!!! Jeremy's coming, Jeremy's coming...And he's bringing goodies!!!

Any nitwit whom question the good intentions of JH is surely a fool. Bring it on JH!!!

Wow lmao

Luke your altruism knows no bounds!

(That means he's quite a generous chap Che )

Hey che you send me your address and I will send you something in the post  dunno what I will do with the rest of the horse though? ha ha

Only kidding ha ha..listen heres one I thought of earlier

Dear Che must now thinks its inspired
to pick out and pester a man thats retired
Than rather using his brain
he drives us all damn insane
rather than making the part thats required!

Ill cut you a little slack Che after finding a little more about you from someone, just remember that Ole Jeremy is a very highly regarded on here before you make any more comments!

I appreciate your attempt to lighten the situation with humour, But I for one didn't recognise it as such until you pointed it out.

Personally I don't even know who Jeremy is, but I am also finding your posts a little tedious. so it's nothing to do with his flock. people on here have offered to bend over backwards to help you. How much more nice would you like? I even PMed you to tell you I was sincere. Why don't you put on a happy face and take up an offer of help, you can get your bike finished and we can all get on with our lives. Would you like to be the moderator in the upcoming seatpost mounted rack section of the wiki?

Yes you just don't know what round the corner Che that's for certain, however short of severe trauma to my head I just don't think that my personality would change to the point where I would act like you have done, I appreciate your frustration and do know a bit more about your situation to which I am sympathetic however I always treat folks as I find them, Jeremy is a very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable individual who owes nobody nothing and in fact quite the contrary, people really do owe him, this is what's made you suggestion that he has let the side down by his departure particularly unhelpful.

I hope you get your bike sorted out and you get your life back on the rails too, no need to go on again as I think you understand the situation and it would be helpful maybe if we all just let this lie now, sure start another thread if you need more help but lets just leave Jeremy out of it.

Damn, suckered into this thread, again.

Some are better off with a store bought ebike. I don't know where that line is exactly, but if someone can't sort out a bike rack, what business do they have building a vehicle of any type?

What also strikes me now that the whole thread has changed. How confusing a thread can be if you missed its inception.

Dont confuse my respect for Jeremy with stupidty either, there are plenty of smart people with brillant minds who are assholes or emotionally crippled in some way , just because hes knowledge stands for something here doesnt make him a " good man " or great man unless you know him personally or can prove it.

It might just be he comes here for the attention as much as anything else , afterall where else is going achieve celebrity status hes hardly a household name - even in the uk ,and someone said himself he seemed upset after his posts were deleted or altered so he obviously quite " possesive " about them.

Not saying these are truths but possibilties, on the web anyone can be anyone and fool any one too.

che
We know JH better than that, and we all owe him (at the least) a debt of gratitude for his unselfish contributions.

A pound of flesh cannot not help a bike run... there are numerous offers of support for a solution that can. Moving that direction may reduce the risk of alienating the people that can be the most help.
