Hello guys..

Today i'm proud  to show you that I succeded to tow a schoolbus with my ebike!!

19200 pounds scholbus on perfectly flat ground.
X5 5305 motor at 90A 100V on 20" wheel

We needed to be two persons sitting on the ebike to avoid the tire to spin on the pavement!!

Started from a dead stop!

That was very hard!

I want to see this on a pedal bike = )

Seriously, that is insane...

Im curious, I have noticed ypedal (I think) and a few others doing 20" DownTube 9FS conversions using the 5304 crystalyte motor... it seems they are able to get a thread on 9 speed (with the new tiny spacing which works with 9speed index shifting)... is the 5305 hub body more narrow than a 9C hub from Amped Bikes or e-BikeKit.com?

I was just out on the 9c 20" (9x7) and running the stock (43v off charger but at 22a load, drops to 36 within a minute or two then stable until cutout) LiFePo4 offering from e-bikekit.com, top speed 16mph downhill (I had no pedals, they were there but freewheel in both directions... I had to go get a new tiny single speed freewheel so I can still pedal the bike some.

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is if I should order a crystalyte rear hub for the 9SS to maintain the shift pattern / ability.

Regards,
Mike

And a second one ( note that the bus guys forgot to release the park brake for the first minutes  Fortunatly it was a guys at the rear of the bus that saw the brake light and mentionned that to the driver few second after, than i was able to tow it

It's not as easy as it look like. Keeping equilibrium is difficult and the rear tire was slipping alot too. I have used a big elastic made of rubber bicycle tubes to extand the torque along some distance to not block the motor to one phase and blow the controller.

During the red bus tow, there is 4 tubes that broke in the cable i made.
