The motor is stuck in 1 power level and I don't know which one. It even has power when it reads off on the display while I am pedaling. I can adjust the power level and I see it in the display but the actual power level does not change. Any suggestions? Thank you!

What fw are you running - stock or one of the open source firmwares? If stock, I *think* the stock firmware will run without serial comms to the display as long as the display is sending the 'power on' voltage (battery voltage) to the motor on the red wire. So if the RX or TX signal wasn't working for whatever reason the motor would assist - but you wouldn't be able to change anything...

Check the cable between the motor and display for damage - and make sure there are no bent pins on the male higo -

Thanks Beemac!
I am running the stock firmware. I will check that cable and connector when I get some time. Is it hard to change the firmware? Is it worth it?

If you have bought the kit from Eco-cycles with 860C display it could be custom FW (OSF) preflashed too.
If you have Vlcd5, Vlcd6 or XH18 display it is for sure stock FW.
That kit is imho easy to change to OSF. You only need to flash the controller.

No probs, running one of the OSFs is definitely worthwhile - but I'd get your existing issue sorted first otherwise you might do a load of work to install the OSF only to still be left with the same problem!

I pulled apart the plug from the motor and everything looks fine. I also looked over the wires on either side that run from the motor to the plug and then to the controller and they look fine also. Any other ideas? I have been trying to get ahold of the people at Ecocycle but they have not returned my call or email yet.
