This thing reminds of Briggs & Stratton offering the 1hp whatchamacallit to tow you on skis cross country. Perhaps 130 years ago, I don't recall, if I had a name for it I could look it up. (The same engine found its' way to the B&S Flyer.) But now you can pull a wheelchair the same way. If you want to.

others don't come up in those two but there's more. i think davinci is one brand name that's been around a while, but it's hard to find the posts about them because recumpence's drive uses the same name.
