Ultra compact RC hub motor? External RC motor on geared hub?

I'm thinking something along the lines of either a Nu Vinici hub or other planetary geared hub with a RC motor mounted similar to how curry mounts their motors to power a hub (meaning externally not the same drive train design), I guess this would be considered a 2 stage reduction?
