Whats your experience like with those MY-#### motors.

Are they reliable, do they last, how much can you over volt them.
Looking at the 36V 800W for $75, the controller is like an extra $30.

Do they have much power for an ebike application?

Thanks

My experience want so great, burnt two up quite easily, was my first foray into ebikes, still burning motors up, difference being, now they cost 10 times more lol

Seriously though, unless your on a very tight budget I would steer clear of the unite motors...

A bit less derogatory. I've come across a few fixing old scooters and bikes, getting what someone else built to work, etc. They've managed to do the job, nothing impressive but they've worked. It'll be a cheap motor for you.

Lots of torque on the MY18xxx. The 16's use helical gears and are much quieter. Cheep, torque motors but brushed, so they do get hot fast with overvolting. I ran one on48 volts for a while and gave the bike (motorcycle like for kids) to my grandkids. They had fun till the NiCad pack died.
Just my 2 pence.
