Hallo,

i am new here, trying to learn about e-bike/scooter electronics.

Bought this cheap sine-weave controller from Aliexpress seller: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005244391279.html (black 26A version) to upgrade my scooter (m365 clone).

I succesfully installed it in my scooter with s866 LCD and it works very well - it is powerfull and silent, but i miss EBS feature - although seller describes it as E-Brake, there it is not (tried with both 36V and 48V).

Inside controller are no usually labeled pins for EBS, actually, there are no other unlabeled pins at all, it is 9 MOS, MCU label is erased, there is mqcon.com text on board, but no model info.
By case and dimensions, it can be this one - SM4825|SM & ML Models - there is mentioned EBS & Regenerative function support, but how to enable it?...

Tried to simply connect board with TTL cable to try set it with mqcon app but no response from board.

I am trying to ask here for help from someone expereienced to guide me to right direction?

If it's actually made by MQCon, your best bet is to directly contact MQCon with all the available info to get t+he right version of app or program to set it up with, and to make sure the serial cable you're using is the right type to work with it (there are at least three different serial voltage types; RS232, 3.3v, TTL 5v, etc, and a device may not connect correctly with the wrong one).

But...if it's a clone, not genuine, it may have altered firmware that doesn't work with the actual MQCon software, and the only source for any setup software (if it's even available at all) would be the seller or the actual manufacturer. One of the many problems with clones (aside from the usually-cheaper-parts used, etc).

Or it could be a generic model that simply has no programming or setup options available except whatever is in the display menus. It says in one of the images at the link (see below) that it is "JN Controller" brand; if so you'd have to get any setup program from them, if it has one available.

BTW, your link wouldn't work directly, just comes up as a blank page. If I do a link-hack by going to the aliexpress site and replacing another item's URL with just the numbers from yours, it opens but changes the URL to this:

Thank You, fixed typo in Aliexpress URL. My model is 26A one.

Tried to email mqcon support week ago and (of course) no response. i think, it is probably 10+ years old product, maybe not supported any more by them.

I will continue to investigate in serial connection - pads i actually tried are unlabeled on right edge of the board, but they are connected to MCU, so i rather suppose, it will need some initial "ignition" of MCU first or so. There are no LED/pads on board as well, so i can not see if anything is happening on board while connected.

Still hope someone "seen" this board already ;)

Some Aliexpress owner of 17A (silver case) version of this controller posted image of his board. It is clearly mqcon with EBS pad on board (interesting that cheaper and weaker board of same product line has this freature over more expensive one...).
Is there chance tracing EBS pad to CPU of 17A board will correspond to CPU pin on 26A board (if CPU is same)?

There's always that chance, but it doesn't mean the MCU / CPU firmware/software use the pin for the same thing. :(
