'unlock' ASI BAC 4000? (Surron controller version)

I am looking to buy a secondhand ASI BAC 4000 controller but the seller tells me this controller has been set up for a surron battery (60v nominal)('Rated system voltage'=60v).
My battery is 20s li-ion (72v nominal) and I was wondering how to change this setting, if it is possible, how difficult it is, and if anyone knows how to do it.

I've been told by the (secondhand) seller that I need a special app from the manufacturer with 'backdoor access' to be able to change the voltage setting... is this true? If so where can I get this app, is there anyone here who has the file and can share it ?

He is asking 550euro for a new (non-used, but packaging has been opened) controller, is this a good price?

Thank you!

I can't help ya because I dont follow any controllers that need programming. I am not sure where ASI ranks in terms of programability hardness compared to Sabvoton, Kelly or that other one Sevcon. Nucular I heard is good, dunno about programmability hardness. All I know and remember is that ASI had warnings from Grintech and Luna about how advanced users only need buy.

The most I've done is a Lyen 18fet years ago which was just an easy control interface through USB.

Here are some links to look at in the meantime.

The ASI software is actually called "Bacdoor". It's available for PC and android but the android version requires a valid ASI account and password (which you will probably not get). Also keep in mind that it is possible for a vendor to password lock a controller, in which case you will not be able to change any settings even with the correct software.

You don't need a password for the PC software. Just a TTL usb cable. Search "TTL asi" in this forum
