Can anyone recommend a good US supplier for the Bafang Mid Drive BBS02 48V/750W kit?

I have found this one and price seems reasonable:

Curious if there are suppliers in the US for these kits at anywhere close to the same shipped price of $536.40

For the record, I do not need the faster shipping. Just better/closer service & support.

I contacted the US Vendor (on this forum as Icrewse) and got a quick response to some questions.

I am thinking I'd gladly spend the extra $200 to have a very good level of service.

Getting pretty excited now about my first ebike build.

Due to lcrews' relationship with Bafang as one of the early adopter North American dealers for the 350W / BBS01, he has acquired the software for the controllers and he can provide adjustments to the controllers in the BBS01 / BBS02 kits you might purchase (of course, the popular de-restricting power/speed adjustment voids the warranty).

One example is: he could adjust the LVC for a 14S LiPo battery (4.2V X 14-cells = 58.8V), but if a voltage spike pops the 63V capacitors, any fix will come out of your pocket. I do not recommend LiPo for anyone who is new to Lithium batteries, in fact...the low amp-draw limits of these drives makes them perfect for a cell_man triangle pack of safe Li-NCM cells.

His standard cell is the Panasonic 22P, and he has two sizes of 50V triangle pack. The smaller $510 12-Ah pack is only 170mm tall and 275mm long (6.7-inches X 10.8-inches)...about a dollar bill tall and two bills long. It easily provides frequent 30A peaks and 20A continuous. If you need more amps, you can get the bigger pack, or specify the optional high-discharge cells.

If I lived in the US, I would be buying the drive locally and paying the bit extra for peace of mind and knowing what you will get. I have a drive on order from an Asian supplier and although have specified to have the limiter removed, it still feels like a lucky dip.

I don't know much about the Bafang display. Is the quality bad?
If I don't have a CA, and not sure I want to purchase one right now, will the Bafang LCD suffice?

Hi I am looking at getting 48V 750W kit other than a battery is there anything else I need? is the controller part of the - 48v 750w 8fun/bafang/bafun BBS02 kit

also when looking for batteries I keep seeing 48v 12ah not recommended for 750w looks like 15ah or 20ah pack that look huge and heavy compared to the flask modules that hold 12ah pack.

The controller is integrated into the motor, so you just need a battery and a battery charger. From what I've seen the 750W version is prone to failure (some internal electronics not up to handling 25A of current), and while Bafang is working on this the improved version has not yet been released. So I would be wary of any 750W versions currently on the market.

Just hooked up my 48v 500w BBS02 yesterday and am very pleased with it; will be more pleased when I can get it programmed the way I like it.
