Hoping this is not a repeat. Looks pretty interesting but of course it could be vapor ware. :?:

Hydrogen Fuel Cell

http://www.immer-vollusa.com/1/222/fuel_cell.asp

Fundamentally the Immer~Voll HFC operates in much the same way as any Fuel cell. The difference in the Immer~Voll HFC is that the energy source is not external, or solely in the liquid supplied to the HFC, the renewable energy source is self contained within the HFC. The Immer~Voll HFC energy source allows it to strip the 2 hydrogen atoms from each water molecule, releasing the oxygen atom as it does this. Nearly 100% of the Hydrogen atoms are freed in the process. The chemical reaction between the oxygen atoms and power cell atoms produces free electrons. These electrons are emitted by the HFC and the bias is controlled by the clamping circuitry.

So...it gets energy via electrolysis...which...consumes energy...

Ohhh, look too... it has the LionEV stamp of approval:

Seen here:

"Immer~Voll, a joint German, Spanish venture has solved the primary concern with a unit for under $1000. The HFCs can be operated as a hydrogen fuel pump, or as a hydrogen fuel cell. Any gas powered car can become a hybrid vehicle with its alternative fuel being water with this HFC. We expect to hear more of this product in 2009."

It'll be perfect to use with all the free hydrogen laying around. Runs on water.
