I picked up a beautiful old girl, her paint is a bit tattered, someone did a horrible job of fixing it, and then .. they put The Chalo super favorite on the front rim.
So Thinks that cause me to list this.
WTF is on the front rim, is that actually a sealed drum brake?
I was originally gonna pop a mildly powered 36v system (22Ah) on a front axle... uhm... Need to figure that tire out... and is that rim saveable? i am not against elbow greasing it to a high gloss, but the spokes on that is a bit thick looking...
If that fails, i can go with one of the through the peddle bits... but yeah, never built one but i don't see it as a challenge.
Failing that, I have a surface in the back I could mount a third sprocket on that axle and put a short throw belt or chain from the motor mounted to the bottom of that plate in the back, it is thin and would need reinforcing but I don't see that as a challenges, now if my idiot fab guy would get back from his 45 days in the pokie (he was worried about losing his job for turning himself in on a 5 year old case. I told him if he does the right thing, his job is here. It may not be if he remains a felon on the loose) I have discussed it with him on the phone and he says he can cross strap and we can slap on a 1" slab of ply to dampen the vibration.
In any case, need to figure out which location needs a motor, and what to do with that front tire.. it is as you see.. Chalo's fav.. i am not even sure how to get that off. I have DeWalt vibroknife thing...
