What are the best practices for re-configuring BBS02 for use with IGH?

There are some really long threads on re-configuring the BBS02, with occasional passing comments on suitable settings for IGH use. But so far, I haven't found a dedicated thread on best practices for configuring the BBS02 for IGH use. So I thought I'd start one. If I've missed a pre-existing thread, please feel free to point me toward it, and I can take my questions over there.

Otherwise, I'd be curious what sort of settings people are using for their IGH builds and why. I've got a Biktrix Stunner with a 5-Speed SA hub and I'm just trying to figure out whether the stock configuration may be contributing to some issues that I've been having with the hub.

TIA,

KS

I would recommend against using pedal assist if you're trying to preserve drivetrain parts. Pedal off the line, and apply throttle once you're moving.

I generally pedal until I reach comfortable crank speed, and then ease into the throttle and let the motor take over.

I don't use the stock bafang controller anymore but when I did I had the PAS disabled (by snipping the grey wire for the sensor) and throttle in Current (not speed) mode. Other than tweaking the throttle voltages to get the most range from it I didn't change anything else.
