I would like to know what you guys think about this concept https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1690474092/lean-skateboard-leans-into-turns?ref=discovery it would be nice if they could be modded to an electric skateboard i contacted him about the idea so maybe he might put some work into it if the community pushes him.

Problem with that is your stuck buying his wheels since they need to be radius's along the edges.

I have a flexboard which is also a tilting wheel board but for all terrain. I use to use it with my kiteboard and plan to electrify it. The pluses on a tilting wheel board is that the G forces are in line with the angle of the wheel so it does not try and return to center like a traditional skate truck and thus it resists speed wobbles. On a standard truck the Centripetal force of turning is trying to force the truck back to center.

its a bit tougher to electrify a tilting wheel board as clearances of things change as the wheels tilt.

Good point on the clearance did not think about that but i would use a 10 inch wide board something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/311034468202?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT keep everything in the middle not passing 5.5 inches i think should be fine

the motormount would have to lean as welll...

Maybe only hubmotors would offer the alternative...

As your wherl tilts so foes your pulley and so must your motor mount. On the flexboard the tilting arm is long ehich leavs room to mount everything on the swingarm. On these trucks it would be a heck of a challenge. To get a hub motor in there youd likely need a different yoke at the link connection. Also hub motors have modified wheels on them to work and youd need to mod his special rounded off wheel. You might contact him to get more info on his wheel then find out how the hub motors wheels are modified.
