What is 9.33.1 reduction?

What is 9.33.1 reduction? It is what is on the side of my cyclone 48V.

I can only assume it means the motor turns 9.33 times to = 1 turn of the output shaft.

Yes, as Thud said. To be more exact it's 9.333333333333333........ to 1

The Cyclone planetary gearbox has a ring gear with 75 teeth and a sun gear with 9 teeth.

So, the ratio (for a static ring gear & sun gear input) is 75 / 9 + 1 = 9.33(recurring) : 1
