how sick. Anybody seen it before / know where I can get one?

My guess is that it's comes stock with the pictured ebike and that you can purchase it wherever that bike is made and sold.
It looks like something built solely for the Asian market but that doesn't preclude its being hand-made.

That's a lot like an easyrider 350 from Mill City Oregon, I own one, here's a link, send them an email and they may tell you where they got thier parts, after they try to sell you about 10 bikes. If it is the same model as mine they modified the frame, but the guys in mill city claim they designed that frame themselves and it got copied a bunch of times over in China (where they had it manufactured for sale here in the US).

So if found KaiQi on some B2B trade sites like alibaba, and it looks like Zoot is correct - it comes stock on that model ebike. I've mailed one guy in the US to see if I can get just the rack, but it may/may not happen - I'll keep you posted.

and I'll try the electric-rides folks too, thx Phoenix.

Definitely for asia, clearly made for the whole family. Extracycle needs to copy it.

I'm with dogman,
What a great rack! Simple, folding so it is out of the way and you can carry a passenger when folded. I like the flip down sides, great for batteries and heavy loads down low. :D

It is pretty slick the way it folds up or folds out. It even has an integrated kickstand.
But those hinges got me worried that it would most likely rattle. :?
Yeah. That and you probably have to remove the whole shebang to replace an inner tube.

Check your local laws -- here where I am, it is a ticketable (and illegal) offense to carry a passenger on a bike unless it is a legal tandem.

The rack looks simple enough that any reasonable fella with some mild steel or aluminum stock, a few simple tools like a vise, not even a bending brake, a drill press, can just make it.
