Last year I came across this custom cruiser - pic was posted on some e-bike vendors website, but my memory is blank.
This is a cruiser the way God himself intended. With a proper rear suspension. Suitable for even big ass riders as myself.

Do anyone know what bike this is? Or is there any other bikes like this with rear suspension?

Thx mark. Yep that was it. Seems like a great push/pull suspension. Kind of leaves that soft-cruiser hanging.

Love the rear suspension, look closely under the frame...

Yep that is the proper push/pull suspension. Totally stealth :)
I wonder why there ain't more takers on this way of doing proper cruisers?

I mean come on - hard core bikers will tell time and time again that the only proper Harley is a stiff frame. Well all of us that is not already indoctrinated by such wild claims and who have also ridden HD's softtails know that is horse shit. I take a soft tail any day of the week over a hard tail.

That goes for e-bikes as well. Why would people cling to old skool when proper bikes even cruisers can be made with the added comfort of full suspension? Well it is beyond me. Just because it has been that way for 100 years does not make a strong argument.

For the longest time US sportscars was equipped with single rear axle - just like in the 50's. And the US manufacturers wondered why no one else then then US market would by into this. In EU all modern sports cars have had split axles since the 70's. And look what happend to ie the iconic Corvette. Nowadays it is a proper sportscar. With split axles. :)

I'd be in on a cruiser with suspension in a flash. It's the only reason I don't have a suspension bike. I only ride cruisers. I think there is a market, but likely small like the crank forward, flat foot, and townie style frames. I guess the uprights are for the unwashed cyclists of some age. Crank forward and rear suspension, my dream frame.

EDIT posted before chasing the link ....WOW....only a Facebook page.

EDIT A failed kickstarter campaign...

Ronald,

Have you seen this bike? Looks like a takeoff on a number of low end steel frames.

Oh Oh....

Waiting to hear from San Diego...

MXUS 3000 cruiser? Now I need to understand the options in shocks. Am I right in assuming a "stronger" shock would be needed to mount a RHD?

I have a fondness for a feet-forward cruiser with a low seat, here is the full-suspension I made a while back with just the junk I had laying around. I didn't even try to select a specific frame that would be more appropriate (seat stays are held by a tension-rod):

Clever way of getting rear suspension. Bet it rides smooth? The overall look is kind of busy - with the extra swing arm triangle. I kind of prefer the subtle look of the cruisers. But hey, you did that using parts you had laying around so for that I salute you. And the overall riding quality is more important then the look and feel.

Adaptto managed to make the cruiser look like a hard tail, and that push/pull shock is placed in a very stealthy position.
Are there any obvious downsides to use such a shock? Apart from the price I mean?
